Who We Are

What Lavana Spa actually is

Lavana Spa is a small Dubai network of three hotel spas, staffed by European and Russian therapists who work in English. Two of the three, Bur Dubai and DIFC, have a real heated hammam room, which is the reason the Moroccan Bath on our menu is a hammam ritual rather than a scrub performed on a massage table. Al Barsha runs massage only, and stays open the latest of the three.

The three addresses are not clones of each other. They sit in different buildings, they look nothing alike, and each one prints its own menu with its own durations and its own prices. Rather than flatten that into a single tidy list, this site gives every branch a page that shows what that branch actually sells, photographed at that address.

What does not change between them is the part you are paying for: the pressure is agreed before the session starts and can be changed at any point during it, and every branch answers its own line, so the person who takes your booking is standing in the building you are travelling to.

Recognition

Best Spa Dubai 2022

Lavana Spa was named Best Spa Dubai at the YOU Awards in 2022, at a ceremony in Dubai. The award went to the chain rather than to one address.

That is the wording engraved on the trophy, photographed here rather than described. Gulf News reported the ceremony in June 2022 in its corporate news section, which carries company announcements rather than independent reviews, and the article is linked below.

It is a 2022 award, so treat it as what it is: a snapshot of how the spa was judged then. The most current picture of how it runs today sits in the 659 Google reviews across our three branches, which is why every branch page links straight to its own listing.

How We Work

Four things worth knowing before you book

Each branch has its own price list

Al Barsha and Bur Dubai share one. DIFC runs its own, with different durations and VAT already inside the printed figure. Open the page of the branch you plan to visit.

The hammam is only at two addresses

Bur Dubai and DIFC have a heated hammam room. Al Barsha does not, so the Moroccan Bath and the hammam packages are not on its list at all.

Booking before 15:00 costs less

The Early Bird rate applies to appointments starting from 10:00 and before 15:00. No code and nothing to sign up for: the price is read from your start time.

You message the branch, not a call centre

Every phone number and WhatsApp button on this site belongs to one specific reception, so nobody has to check with another address before answering you.

Questions about Lavana Spa

How many Lavana Spa branches are there in Dubai?+

Three, and this site covers all three: Al Barsha, on the rooftop floor of the Grand Excelsior Hotel in Al Barsha 1; Bur Dubai, on the HC floor of the Grand Excelsior on Kuwait Street in Mankhool; and DIFC, on floor 45 of the Residence Inn by Marriott on Sheikh Zayed Road. Each has its own phone line, its own WhatsApp and its own Google listing, so a message reaches the reception of the address you actually plan to visit rather than a central desk that then has to check. Each also prints its own menu, which is why every branch page on this site shows its own prices rather than one shared list. If you see a Lavana Spa in Al Ain or Abu Dhabi, it is not one of ours: the brand confirmed in 2022 that it has no branches in either emirate.

What award has Lavana Spa won?+

Best Spa Dubai at the YOU Awards in 2022. That is the wording engraved on the trophy itself, which is photographed on this page rather than described, and the award went to Lavana Spa as a chain rather than to one address. Gulf News reported the ceremony in June 2022 and the article is linked above so you can read the coverage yourself. Two things worth saying plainly. The award is from 2022, so it says what the spa was judged to be then rather than what any single therapist will do this evening. And the Gulf News piece ran in the corporate news section, which carries company announcements rather than independent reviews. The reviews that describe the service as it runs today are the ones on our three Google listings, and there are 659 of them.

Do all three branches charge the same prices?+

No, and this is the thing most worth knowing before you travel. Al Barsha and Bur Dubai share one price list: a sixty minute massage from 500 AED, with 5% VAT added at reception. DIFC runs a different menu entirely, with its own treatment names, its own lengths running from a thirty minute back and shoulder up to two hours, its own figures, and VAT already included in the printed price. Bur Dubai and DIFC also have a real heated hammam room, so the Moroccan Bath and the hammam packages run there; Al Barsha offers massage only. Rather than average all this into one tidy table, each branch page prints exactly what that branch prints, including which VAT basis applies. Open the page for the address you plan to visit and the numbers you see are the numbers at that reception.

What are your opening hours?+

All three branches open at 10:00, seven days a week including public holidays. Al Barsha takes guests until 1 am, an hour later than the other two, which close at midnight. The appointment has to finish by closing rather than start at it, so a two hour session needs to begin two hours before the door shuts. Evenings are the busiest stretch at every address, so a message ahead is more reliable than turning up, and each branch answers its own WhatsApp line. Booking a start time between 10:00 and 15:00 also brings the Early Bird rate into play, which is the cheapest way to book the same treatment with the same therapists. Hours can shift during Ramadan, so a short message before travelling is sensible in that period rather than assuming the usual schedule.

Where can I read genuine reviews of Lavana Spa?+

On Google, where they were written. Our three branches hold 659 reviews between them: 269 at Al Barsha, 254 at Bur Dubai and 136 at DIFC, averaging 4.6 across the network. Every branch page on this site links straight to that branch listing, and the ratings printed on those pages are the same figures Google shows rather than a rounded up version of them. We quote a handful of reviews on the branch pages, always with the author name and the branch, and we deliberately do not mark them up as first party reviews in our structured data: they were collected on Google, and presenting them as our own would breach its guidelines. Reading them on the listing itself also lets you sort by recent, which is the more useful view when you want to know how a place is running this month rather than how it ran three years ago.
