European Aromatherapy Massage in Dubai

The gentlest full body treatment we run. Warm aromatic oil, long unhurried strokes, and pressure that stays in the light to medium range from start to finish. Nothing here is designed to work a knot loose. It is the treatment to book when the problem is a week that will not switch off rather than a shoulder that will not move.

  • European and Russian therapists
  • All three branches
  • Open until midnight, 1 AM in Al Barsha

What the hour feels like

Slow is the point. The rhythm barely changes across the session, and that steadiness is what does the work.

  • Warm oil
  • Long strokes
  • Light to medium
  • Whole body

The therapist works the back first, then the legs, arms and shoulders, finishing at the neck and scalp. Strokes run long and in one direction rather than in short bursts, and the oil is warmed so the first contact is not a shock. Most guests stop tracking the sequence within ten minutes, which is the intended outcome.

Pressure is agreed before the session starts and can be changed at any point. If you find yourself wanting more, say so, though the honest answer is often that you wanted the Deep Muscle Massage instead. This treatment does not become a deep tissue session by pressing harder.

Who it suits

First massage in a long time

If you rarely book massage, start here rather than with deep tissue. Sixty minutes at 500 AED is enough to find out how your body responds without spending the next day sore.

Sleep that will not come

Late bookings are common for this one. Al Barsha runs to 1 AM and the other two branches to midnight, so a session after a long day is realistic rather than theoretical.

Skin that has had enough sun

Warm oil over the whole body suits skin that has spent a Dubai summer in air conditioning and chlorine. This is a side effect rather than the purpose, but guests mention it often.

European Aromatherapy Massage questions

How is aromatherapy massage different from a Swedish massage?+

The two share a family resemblance and differ in intent. A Swedish massage uses long draining strokes at steady medium pressure and is built around circulation, so it has more structure and a firmer hand. Aromatherapy is slower, lighter and continuous, with warm scented oil worked over the whole body and very little variation in rhythm. If you want your legs to feel less heavy after days on your feet, book the Swedish. If you want an hour that switches your head off, book this one. Both cost 500 AED for sixty minutes at all three branches, so the choice is about what you want from the hour rather than what you are willing to spend on it. Both are available at Al Barsha and Bur Dubai at that rate, and both carry the Early Bird price of 370 AED for an hour when the appointment starts before 15:00. DIFC sells the same two treatments from its own menu, at its own lengths and figures.

What oils do you use and can I choose the scent?+

We use warm aromatic massage oil, and the therapist will show you what is available at the branch when you arrive rather than deciding for you. Tell reception when you book if you have a preference for something light or something you can barely smell, and tell the therapist directly about anything you react to. If you have a known allergy to a particular plant oil, say so before the session starts rather than during it, because oil is applied from the first minute of this treatment. Guests who prefer no scent at all are usually better served by the Purifying Swedish Massage, which is built around the strokes rather than around the oil, at the same 500 AED for sixty minutes. Nothing about the treatment changes between our three branches, so the oil selection is the same wherever you book it.

How long should I book for?+

Sixty minutes at 500 AED covers the whole body but keeps the pace brisk by this treatment's standards. Ninety minutes at 700 AED is the length most regular guests settle on, because the slowness that makes aromatherapy work needs room to happen and an hour spends a fair share of it simply getting there. Two hours at 800 AED is the best value per minute on the list and suits a genuine reset rather than a top up. All three lengths cost the same at Al Barsha and Bur Dubai, and all of them are subject to 5% VAT added at reception. The Early Bird rate applies to every length when you start before 15:00, dropping them to 370, 525 and 700 AED respectively. Our DIFC branch runs a different menu, with fifty and seventy five minute sessions alongside the longer ones and its own rates.

Will I be sore the next day?+

Almost never, and if you are, the pressure was wrong for you rather than right. This is the lightest treatment on our list: light to medium throughout, no deep cross fibre work, no strong stretching. Soreness the day after is a normal outcome of the Deep Muscle Massage, where the therapist is working through deeper layers on purpose, but it is not what this session is for. Tell your therapist during the massage if the pressure creeps past comfortable, since it is far easier to adjust in the moment than to explain afterwards. Drinking water afterwards is sensible advice for any massage and costs you nothing to follow. If you want firmer work without any soreness at all, the Lava Shell Massage reaches deeper through sustained heat rather than through pressure, at 600 AED for a full hour.

Can I book it late in the evening?+

Yes, and a good share of these bookings are late. Bur Dubai and DIFC take guests until midnight, and Al Barsha runs until 1 AM, seven days a week including public holidays. For a sixty minute session that means the last realistic start is an hour before closing, though messaging the branch first is the safer route than turning up: evenings are when all three fill, and a walk in depends on a therapist being free at that moment. Each branch answers its own WhatsApp line, so a message reaches the reception of the address you actually plan to visit rather than a central desk that then has to check. Reception can usually tell you within a minute whether the length you want is free, which beats arriving at 23:00 and finding out at the desk.
