Inside

What DIFC actually looks like

All of these were taken at the DIFC branch, which looks nothing like our other two. Pale stone, daylight and wood rather than dark timber: the entrance hall, the lounge, the corridor, a single treatment room and one set up with two tables.

  • Reception and entrance hall at Lavana Spa DIFC
  • Armchairs in the waiting lounge at the DIFC branch
  • Seating by the window in the relaxation area at Lavana Spa DIFC
  • Corridor leading to the treatment rooms at the DIFC branch
  • Massage room at Lavana Spa DIFC, with a single table and wall lights
  • Couples room with two treatment tables at the DIFC branch

Good to Know

DIFC questions

Is the DIFC branch actually in DIFC?+

It is the nearest of our three addresses to DIFC and it is named for it, but the building itself stands in Trade Centre Second, on the Sheikh Zayed Road frontage between DIFC and the World Trade Centre. We say so plainly because a guest navigating to the middle of DIFC proper will end up a few streets from the door. The address to use is 115 Sheikh Zayed Road, and the spa is on floor 45 of the Residence Inn by Marriott. Enter through the hotel lobby and take the lift up. The pin on our Google listing points at the tower itself. Reception here has its own direct number and its own WhatsApp line, so a message reaches this building rather than a central desk elsewhere in the city. Coming from Downtown or the World Trade Centre, look for the Sheikh Zayed Road frontage rather than the streets behind it.

Which treatments can I book at the DIFC branch?+

A menu of its own, and it is worth reading before you travel because almost nothing on it matches the figures at our other two branches. The oil massages run at fifty, seventy five, ninety and one hundred and twenty minutes rather than the usual three lengths, starting at 490 AED. Alongside them: Balinese from 550, Deep Tissue from 630, Hot Stone from 600, a thirty minute Back, Neck and Shoulder at 350, and a Couple Massage from 1,000. The heated hammam room here runs the Moroccan Bath at 400 AED and two combinations that pair it with a full massage. Every figure printed on this page already contains the 5% VAT, which is not how Al Barsha and Bur Dubai print theirs. The Royal Hammam package is not on the list at this branch.

Why does this branch have the highest rating?+

Our DIFC branch holds 4.8 from 136 Google reviews, against 4.7 from 254 at Bur Dubai and 4.4 from 269 at Al Barsha. We are not going to invent an explanation for the gap. What we can say honestly is that it is the newest of the three by review count, so the average sits on a smaller and more recent sample, and that the treatment list, the prices and the therapists are the same standard across the network. The reviews themselves are on our Google listing rather than rewritten here, so you can read them in full and judge the pattern yourself. If a specific therapist has been recommended to you, mention the name when you message and reception will tell you which days they work. The branch opens at 10:00 and takes guests until midnight, seven days a week, the same as Bur Dubai.

How late is the DIFC branch open, and should I book ahead?+

From 10:00 until midnight, seven days a week including public holidays. The appointment finishes by closing rather than starting at it, so a sixty minute massage needs to begin by 23:00 and the two hour Royal Hammam package by 21:30. Booking ahead matters more here than the hour suggests: this is an office district address, so the after work stretch fills first, and the Four Hands Massage and the Royal Hammam package both need more than one resource free at once. Message the branch on its own WhatsApp line and reception will tell you what is genuinely available. Our Al Barsha branch runs an hour later, until 1 am, if a very late massage is what you need and the hammam is not. Hours here do not change at weekends, though they can shift during Ramadan, so a short message before travelling is worth sending in that period.

What guests say about DIFC

This was the best morrocan bath I have ever done in my life! The woman mariam scrubbed every inch of my body. Leaving no crevice unattended, the salon was very clean and aesthtic. The receptionists were lovely. Overall an amazing experience! Must try!

Had a great experience at Lavana! Very clean and luxury place, amazing and professional service. Highly recommend Balinese Massage with Eka. But first to have Moroccan bath, such relaxing and refreshing!
